Our core monthly online briefing, following a consistent format and title each month. In 2026, these sessions are planned for the third Thursday of each month, from 9:30am to 11:00am (with occasional date changes for holidays or other commitments).
Special briefings: topic-led deep dives
Alongside the regular updates, we will run longer special virtual briefings on specific themes or major events, each with its own title. In 2026 we expect to run between 6 and 10 of these, depending on what is happening in the economy and on participant demand.

Each briefing opens with a short global overview and what it means for Australia, highlighting key moves in the world economy, markets and geopolitics, and how major offshore events shift risks to Australia’s outlook.
Australia Economic Update
Has new information shifted our view? We recap key domestic data since the last briefing, note any changes to our Australian forecasts, and compare the EQ view with market pricing, RBA projections and consensus — highlighting where we differ and where we align.
Assessment and Opinion
The briefing concludes with our assessment of the short-term issues and risks. The final section makes it clear where the uncertainties lies. What are we watching, where could surprises come from.
